KdL has released several ROM images for use on MSX2, 2+ and turboR computers. By placing these ROMs (e.g. on a FlashROM) in slot 1, you can automatically adjust display frequency (PAL or NTSC) and - on turboR - CPU speed during boot.

The Finnish MSX developer NYYRIKKI has launched his new website.

A new version of SCMD, the multichannel PCM player for MSX has been released. In this release, several minor improvements to the replayer were made. A new song, that combines SCC PCM samples with 'ordinary' SCC sounds, has been published on the SCMD website as well.

Almost a month ago, a new version of EdiOS, a graphical user interface for MSX, was released. Contrary to SymbOS, EdiOS is not an OS replacement, but a graphical shell for MSX-DOS2.

The MSX IPS Patch archive has been updated with a fix for Aleste 2 that solved an issue which made the game run at hard difficulty when booting the game from the demo disk, whereas it ran in easy mode when booting the game from the game disk.

A single month is roughly what's left now before MSXDev'06 closes. In this month we'll see a lot of announced and unannounced entries being finished. I.N.E.R.T.I.A. is such an unannounced game! This 16KB ROM, by Italian developer Adrea Rossetti, is a shooter in retrostyle for which you need two joysticks.
