MSXdev'08 - Closed
A few days ago, things looked a bit bleak. Right now, it turns out that MSXdev'08 has ended with the same amount of games MSXdev'07 ended with. So, a rather happy ending after all!
MSXdev'08 #12 - Limaribu
Who would've thought. Just a week ago, MSXdev'08 appeared to be coursing towards a disappointing amount of entries. And with this entry, we're equal with last year again. Have you ever seen this many games popping up on one day? Arnold Metselaar joins the contest with a dice game: Limaribu! The game comes as a 32KB ROM and requres 16KB RAM.
We're almost there! A new entry, already shown at the Nijmegen fair last weekend, has just been submitted: Deep Dungeon. This game, made by Huey, Demonseed and ARTRAG is a dungeon crawler. This game is a highly retro'esque game worth playing. The game comes as a 32KB ROM and requires 16KB memory. ROM label and manual are present as well.
MSXdev '08 #10 - PWND!
The finished entries for MSXdev keep flowing in. And what a final sprint it is, MSXdev fellows! This is more exciting than the US pre-election rally has ever been!
Vampier has just submitted his MSXdev'08 entry: PWND! Check the status section for downloading the game, manual and sticker!
Do you know that situation in which you wait on a bus for ages in the pouring rain, and then they all come at once? This common situation summarizes MSXdev'08 perfectly well so far. Entry number nine is called Sp8 Invaders! This new game has been made by Dioniso, another MSXdev regular, who has already made games like Magical Stones and T-Virus.
Today is worse than some of snout's famous newsfloods, really! Well, another game, another newspost.. The latest entry for MSXdev'08 is called: Hose Diogo Martinez: The Bussas Quest! This 'typing game' is developed by Muffie, known for his flood of ports in the past few months. For the crazy story behind this game, please read the manual.
It looks like there's a wave of entries coming in.
Not the new Konami, not the new Micro Cabin and not the new Compile. With a title like 'PWND - Of je worst lust' that would've been quite impossible. PWND looks like a 1-day project by Metal Soft, one which may not become like the most serious entry of 'em all.
The earlier announced MSXdev'08 entry La Corona Encantada is now a finished entry, number six! In only days, the entry count has doubled already.
Karoshi Corporation, the MSXdev regulars from Spain, have surprised us with a game with certain ZX Spectrum looks.
The fifth entry for MSXdev'08 is called Danger Tower. This running arcade game has been developed by Danger Team. Your goal is to avoid enemies and reach the top of the tower you're in, as the titlescreen suggests: run or die! The game comes as a 32KB ROM, 16KB system RAM is required. ROM-label, and manual are available as well.
