Sjasm: output text during assembly

Hi everyone,

Does someone knows how output text during assembly with Sjasm (not Sjasmplus) ?

Do you mean some directive like: INFO "I just compiled this line of code", that would print that message to the console during assembly? If that's the case sjasm does not have such directive. The closest is the (mostly undocumented), "error" directive, but that will stop assembly unfortunately. It would not too hard to just patch the source code of sjasm to add this though. You could just add a new directive in the same way as "error", but calling printf, instead of "error" to print the message Smile

On another note, I would recommend using a different assembler, as I do not think sjasm is maintained anymore, so, it's bound to just get more and more outdated over time... Glass, sjasmplus or asMSX are alternatives that are still being maintained.
