A long time since last post... Well, people have been wondering about blueMSX and potentially new releases. I did take a look at the emulator and although the core emulation still works fine, there is a fair bit of work to make it run nicely on modern Windows. With limited time, and no modern Windows PC in my house, it has been hard to do anything. I did however have some time this fall and felt I had to learn TypeScript and webgl, so I ported the emulator (or at least portions of it) and anyone that is interested you can try it at http://live.bluemsx.com (Chrome and Firefox only) It doesn't have all the features of the original emulator but the core is functionally the same.

Ani, who are you? Friend of Daniel? As you do seem to have access to the bluemsx website.

Hmm, indeed very interesting... I can see problems with sprites, width 80 color tiles, screen 11, PCM & some other minor stuff here & there, but anyway really nice... Are you planning to continue working on this?

I've been busy with real life I assume. Yes, there are certainly bugs and I hope to be able to address them (so don't hesitate sending me an email with what you seen). So far I've been the only person using it so the number of games/demos that has been tested is quite limited. I also like to do general audio and video improvements as well as adding support for new components.

Hi Daniel, great to see you again! Bluemsx online seems very promising and I really hope that, while porting it online, you will address a number of emulation glitches appeared in time since in v2.8.2.
Sadly many of the emulation issues discovered in the time are buried in this forum and there is not a simple way to recollect them. I'll try to see what I can do.

PS
If you plan to fully replace the stand alone version, you should add also the great integrated debugger you have in the stand alone version.

Actually I only tried two demos that I've made (as I know them well enough to recognize a problem)... "Alternative 98"-demo and "Diary". I think they both serve quite well as a test case. (Download: http://msx.fi/nyyrikki/software.html)

Indeed... BlueMSX is still the best emulator when you compare the user friendliness.

Some of them are also reported here:
