So, what we have here is ST "died" in 1992 and GT in 1994.

ST was released in 10/1990.
GT was released in 11/1991.

ST costs ¥87,800 in 10/1990, or US$ 696 as today.
GT costs ¥99,800 in 11/1991, or US$ 766 as today.

Yes, actually the yen is very weak, compared few years ago (pre-covid).

I think you didn't include inflation the past 33 years. If you would include that the actual price today would be probably double of what you noted.

Of course it was included. Yen lose around 50% of it value. Yep, Japan is sinking, and China too.
