yo Erik,

i'm building the same mapper..
I'm halfway there...

I'll let you know if mine works or not.

Jipe, do you know if it possible to modify this mapper to an scc style mapper?
Is it just a matter of using different address lines into the mapper? I have no clue (yet) how all this work and would like to learn.
As I want to use this mapper scheme for the mmc drive of sharksym. But that one expects an scc type mapper ...

SCC roms use the special SCC-chip to do the mapping.

So you'll have remove an SCC chip from an original Konami (noooo !!) and place it in your own circuit.

Or you can do the same as I (am going) do and build a std megarom mapper (so 4000 6000 8000 a000) and use an external SCC-ROM (with a switch for example) to use the SCC capabillities. This way no Konami-rom has to suffer.

yes is possible if added a decoder on write gate

inverted signal A12 and normal A11 enter in a AND gate
the out of this signal and the original signal enter in a NAND gate to the write of 74ls670

but the schematic is for read only memory eprom and not for flash

I am not looking at a flash scc rom as I have 2 of those already.
I want to make the mmc interface without scc chip. So I don't have to butcher the konami Smile
first I need to get the mapper working. Could also be due to faulty ls670 chips. I have 3 of them which all test incorrect on my logic analyzer.
Last week I ordered a lot of new of these chips so I hope this the cause.
To be continued.
In the mean time I hope you finish yours and say it works Wink

rather than to change the hardware to make a mapper scc it is not possible to change the software to adapt the MMC Rom?

Ive tried again with new ls670 chips and still no luck. I am now switching to another approach. I have ordered a bunch of scc chips and will use that instead of the zemina mapper. That way I will also have no problems with the software.
If some one is interested in some of those chips I might have some spares. Costs of those chips are around 7 euros a piece.

the mapper zemina is not for a scc
the scc mapper have adress 5000 7000 9000 B000
the zemina mapper have adress 4000 6000 8000 A000

see this schematic : http://msx.retro8bits.com/msxarchives/msxram.zip

is a cartridge with all mapper and automatic switching
is a mix of megaram ese-sram and use 74LS670 and SRAM

is not the zemina mapper but a personnal way
i make it in 2003 and i have 2 in working
but i don't construct it
is do it yourself

but after verification on U2A U2B the D6 ad D7 are inverted
the program loading but 16k 8k switch are inverted and game not working

i make schematic for scc only but i don't know added picture with my post

You mean REAL Konami's chips? Where have you found them?

Yes, please share your source, if you can, Jipe. I'd like to buy 10 or so SCC chips, if they are working well.
