Use something like this with.
Connect video to the yellow input and audio to the white one.

I will need a new cable for that. Your referring to the Video/Audio plugs ? Should i get a Twin Composite to SCART Connector ?

Does your TV have a composite video input?

If that is the case, you need this for the vidéo:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composite_video

and this for the audio:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/314082785302

If it only has a scart socket, you will also need the adapter that Sdsnatcher73 shows. (Find out before if this scart socket has a composite video input and not the RGB only.)

HI GDX, Thanks for the pointer. I replied to Manuel. He asked me what screen i have and its sockets but sec i will cut n past for you. Its a LG19LS4D. It Has :-

AV1 - SCART
AV2 - SCART
HDMI/DVI IN
RS232C IN (Control & Service)
RGB(PC)IN
ANTENNA IN

and

COMPONENT IN : Comprising
Video:- (Y) Green,(Pb) Blue,(Pr) Red
Audio :- Left,Right

I'm still not sure whats BEST ? composite or SCART. I thought SCART was better but as I only have RF or Video/Audio (Composite ?) on the MSX is SCART just overkill or is there some benefit to it ?

Another issue I'm unsure of is that the MSX has a single video RCA socket and a single audio RCA socket but the TV has left and right audio sockets, presumably for stereo or at least to separate feeds to the left and right speakers ? So i would need a splitter cable in that case ?

You just need the adapter and 2 RCA leads to begin with. Because your screen does not have a direct composite video input you have to use the one “embedded” in the SCART connector. SCART is just a connector, it can accept RGB as well as composite and s-video. Most likely your AV1 accepts RGB and composite and AV2 accepts s-video and composite. Do either SCART socket should work but if one does not try the other. The HX10 only has RF and composite and given your inputs on the screen this gives the best possible result.

You can use a splitter but most TVs (but not all) will detect a mono signal on the L or white input and will use that mono signal for both speaker channels. Try it first without the splitter, if audio comes julst from the left channel you can get a splitter.

Composite also is not the same as component. Component is closer to RGB but not entirely.

Just bought this lot on E-Bay. Hopefully they work.

That listing is for 1 of the 4 cables not all 4. Cable 2 may work (if it is the right direction, towards the input of the SCART side), send the seller you want that one.

Ahh yea i bought all 4. On a side note are there any mods that can be done to the MSX to improve Sharpness / Resolution / Contrast ?

TBH there isn't much you can do to improve the HX-10 other than a SCART to HDMI upscaler. You can get cheap ones for about £25 all the way to OSSC which costs a lot more.

Depends on the version. Assuming it's not a Japanese version which uses the TMS9918 it should work but I don't think there are specific instructions for the HX-10 so it may be best guess with the wiring.
I'll have to get one and add it to my list of projects.
