Toshiba HX-10 ( UK ) Display Problem

Hi Everyone,
I have finally been able to get a HX-10 after a lot of trying. The one thing I have noticed ( apart from the MSX being a really nice 8-Bit ) is the display seems shifted over to the left on my HDTV using the Composite RCA and SCART sockets. Overscan is turned off and It happens on all Aspect ratios as well.

So a few pixels seem to be cut off...

My other computers ( ZX Spectrum and CPC464 ) also have a similar issue but they have borders and it is not as much of a problem as it's only part of the border that is lost.

Can anyone give me a idea of what I can do ( if anything ) to resolve it.

Try this command in Basic:

setadjust(2,0)

This should shift your screen to the right.

It wiil not work on a MSX1.

Ah, indeed, this is MSX1. Ok, then the other option is to use the screen scaling mode that many modern TVs support. Select the scaling mode that allows you to see the entire MSX screen, some TVs can even have 4x3 mode that suits best for MSX.

The HX-10 does display to the left using SCART on CRT as well as modern TV's however if you use a cheap SCART to HDMI it will give you a better display and it will be shifted back to centre again.

Thanks for the advice, I tried all the aspect ratios including the zooms and 4:3 and in all cases the screen was offset to the left.
I think I will try the SCART to HDMI and see how that works. I will try it on our other TV and see how that responds tomorrow, they are both Panasonic's but one is a modern LED model and I tend to use this older Plasma because it has composite and SCART already built-in without having to plug in adaptors they way the new one requires.
