I used that a lot, but for some strings you just can't fit the translation in the original space without resorting to a ridiculous abbreviation. The main problem isn't not-used spaces but not-available space...

(Perhaps they would even be willing to release their entire MSX back catalogue? :hannibal:)

Are you sure? Usually Dutch is a bit longer than English, I'd say.

According to the wiki https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZOO_(computerspel) site the game was only released in dutch. So if there would excist an english version, it must be a fan translated version.

I think msx.org is more creditable about MSX then wikipedia.

@Luppie: I understand what you mean but I assumed the creators made the wiki theirselfs, since their site links to these wiki pages.

Okay, I took a long shot and just send a mail to Radarsoft asking them to shed some light on this topic. Who knows, maybe I do get an answer. If so, I will post it here.

Okay, so 2 days after I send RadarSoft an email, the creator of all their msx games Cees Kramer replied!
I asked him if he knows if ZOO was released in English and this was his reply:

Het programma ZOO is destijds door mij gemaakt.
Het is een van de vele programma’s die ik destijds gemaakt heb. Veel zijn er vertaald maar helaas kan ik me niet meer herinneren of dat met ZOO ook gebeurd is.
Helaas kan ik je dus niet helpen….

The program ZOO is then made by me.
It is one of the many programs that I made at that time. Many games where translated but unfortunately I can not remember whether that happened with ZOO. So, unfortunately, I can not help you....

I guess we have to wait until someone comes across the english version if it does excist.

Too bad he couldn't recall. Did you ask him about releasing the back catalogue perhaps?
Wouldn't Radarsoft have an archive of their MSX prods (then he could also digg around for the English version perhaps), or, like you hear more often, could as well be they lost it all..
