Looking for this particular model of the CX5, as it can be upgraded to MSX2. If you have one that's already been upgraded that's even better.

I think the 64k CX5MII model can be upgraded just as well, if I look at the service manual the only difference is the amount of memory, they both have a v9938…

Amount of memory here also means the absence of memory mapper in 64K version so it's getting much harder to upgrade

According to the service manual the 64K mapper has a mapper just like the 128K one.

(Also a mapper is technically not part of the MSX2 standard, there are some MSX2 models without it.)

Yeah I've just sold Panasonic FS-A1 64K with no mapper i know that's not part of standard. Thanks for info about CX5MII
