Cologne is pretty close though. On an unrelated note, in January there’ll be an MSX fair in Nijmegen, you should come .

A bit unrelated, but I don't want to open an extra thread for it. I finally want to get a Megaflashrom SD. Are there any real practical benefits with two SD slots except for the obvious possibility to have twice the space?

I guess people use it mostly to have a 'fixed base SD card' and a 'swap SD card'. The latter for instance to swap data between another device (like a PC) and the MSX.

I used to use it like that, but I don’t really have a base SD card like that anymore, sure the Mac pollutes the SD card with ds_store and trash files and such, but it isn’t really causing problems. It can still be convenient though to transfer files between two SD cards without involving a PC, or if I need to access files from the SD card for my 1chipMSX. That’s mostly a convenience thing.

I think the 512K memory option is more useful to me than the 2nd SD slot, as it allows me to run DOS2 on MSX1, and some extra memory available without having to insert another memory mapper cartridge always comes in handy.

I'm setting for the one with two slots now. The extra RAM is a no-brainer anyway It annoyed me long enough that I only have 64k. Too bad I still have to wait about 4 weeks until the restock. But I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm especially curious to try out SymbOS. Though I'm still wondering what I should do with my old Megaflashrom. Would it be possible to rewrite the old cart from the SD Flashrom instead from disks?

Sure, why not?

If you have an MSX1 you can't run SymbOS... it needs the MSX2 video modes. Well, perhaps it works if you also use a V9990 cartridge

Don't worry, it's an MSX2+. Which is great because of it's speed and graphics improvement, but we all know the japanese RAM dilemma with those. ^^" I suppose I could execute the original opfx.com from sd card then.Well, I'll see once I get it. Maybe I could use the old for some utilities then
