...the ex-president of Compile and the current president of Compile-O (Compile Maru). Smile If you got any questions for him, then post them here. I'll pick the most interesting ones and ask him them. Thanks!

Oh wow! exciting! Not really sure which question would be interesting. But anything related to the game development/testing process back then, the size of the teams, hardware/software used for development, etc. would be very interesting to me!

And of course, if we want hard questions, asking about how much Zelda was an inspiration for Golvellius (or how much Golvellius was an inspiration for Zelda 2, which has some of those platformer-Golvellius-style levels too ), could be fun Wink

Dammit! It's that damn day today!

No, this is NOT an April fools joke. I really am text-interviewing him. I can come back and repeat this fact tomorrow, if you still think this is a stupid April fools joke. I hate this day...

Anyway, thanks for the questions, Santi. Smile

If it's not a joke: ask him if he still has unreleased/ unfinished MSX games? I for one and probably others as well would love to buy such games if they were around.

Questions with a higher chance of getting answered: What motivated him to go into developing computer games (for msx)? What gave the compile teams their inspiration to create the wonderful worlds and games they made? Are there other games Compile worked on like Xevious, Columns and Family Stadium professional Baseball which aren't credited under the Compile name?

Xevious is from Compile? It's really a master piece, the best version by far, even better than 16bit versions as Atari / Amiga.

Yes... just read the ending credits to know for sure. A lot of compile people are on the credits including Moo Niitani. And some of the enemy ships have Compile inspired names like the Alestan or something like that... IIRC Compile also did the PC Engine version.

Please ask something about Jump Man (a Msx2 game released in Compile MSX disc station issue) and about Compile MSX disc station in general.
Thank You. Smile
