Btw, you should consider submitting the game to the MSXDev competition!
Of course I had to try how many people I can get. :-9 Damn this is addictive game yet again... Once you've played all the fields you just have to start all over again. Your games don't look much and they sound terrible, but you really have the unique skill of making GOOD games that are FUN to play. That is rare and the most valuable skill you can posses in game making. I would love to see you joining your skills especially with some of the music artists around.
About the problem... It seems to me that there is always ruins on the right of the "red ghost"... though I have no idea if this helps to locate the problem or not. May I also suggest adding ESC = Back to main menu?
Thanks. I hope to make better games by polishing graphics and music.
I found the cause of the red ghost. After all, it was the error in handling the adjacent battles. After fixing it and adding features, I will upload it.

Of course, I know the MSXDev. Slime World is my application. If I polish the game more, I'll consider submitting it to the MSXDev.

Good to hear you found it... Sometimes this kind of bugs that occur only rarely are really painful to catch.
I don't actually think your graphics are not bad at all... they are just so... 1985... With that I mean that you tend to use big solid colors, no dithering, ornaments or anything like that, but at least you rounded the corners. On one side it makes the graphics very clear anyway, so this is more like matter of taste and ie. in this kind of game the practical improvements would be anyway limited to box borders and other quite irrelevant stuff.
On music side... I believe so far you have made your own sound routines, but with good tools it is much more easy to do good sounding result.... If you want to do PSG only stuff I would like you to check tools like Vortex Tracker II, Arkos tracker or TriloTracker... If trackers are not your thing, there are also MML based solutions around such as Musica, but I know quite a little about them. For sound effects there are nice tools like AYFX or SEE.
I understand that music fights about same memory & CPU time that your game it self but on the opposite side music & SFX also contribute quite a bit feeling to the game.
Ah! my bad! didn't realize you also made Slime World!! nice one too!
Hmm... today I experienced a new problem... The map was completely empty but still the number of alive reds was one and there was a pile of ruins that kept spawning new reds every once in a while. I was just wondering could it be possible that somehow the red has managed to create two houses to same location and I've managed to kill only one?
Then few stupid questions more:
- If my soldier has already an armor, does it help anymore if he collects another armor?
- If my armored soldier or one that has been eating well creates a house, will the house last longer in battle than regular?

Sorry.. It may be related to the bug of Red Ghost.
Soldiers are born at one of the four directions of the house. The bug is that the soldier born at the left of the house does not check for the obstacles there. The obstacles are the sea, other soldiers, houses and so on. Usually they never overlap. So, when they overlap, such a problem may occur.
I am currently debugging the modified version, so I will upload it soon.
- If my soldier has already an armor, does it help anymore if he collects another armor?
Yes. Each soldier has two parameters. They are "Health" and "Strength". Strength rises by the number of armor.
- If my armored soldier or one that has been eating well creates a house, will the house last longer in battle than regular?
Yes. Even if your soldier makes a house, the parameters do not change. Soldiers and houses fight in the same conditions.

I hear that. It's actually pretty cool. Very involving, well thought out, and (the most important aspect) really fun.
Sorry.. It may be related to the bug of Red Ghost.
According to your explanation I would say yes this is the same bug. There was 3 houses right next to each other horizontally, so this is quite a likely scenario. Thanks for the playing tips as well!
I have updated Motkonqe. Several bugs were fixed and several features were added.
