Played around with Carnivore2 settings, tried to load into RAM, tried to make it writeable - nothing helps. So without patching the Manbow2 ROM will not work on our cartridge.
Did anyone try a dual-card adapter like this one with Carnivore2?

I tried 5 or 6 adapters of this kind on the Sunrise CF interface. Half work with the original Disk-Rom but none worked with the specific driver for Nextor Disk-Rom. When there are two independent cards, it does not work even with the original driver.
Hmmm. This is quite strange because an IDE interface like that must emulate one card as a master IDE device and the other as slave device. Both can be on one virtual interface "cable". Nextor tries to detect both master and slave IDE devices during booting and I see no reason why that could be a problem with this dual-card adapter.
Me too I see no reason why that could be a problem with several adapters except product ID.
About dual-card adapter, maybe the interface needs an option to select Master, Slaver or Auto-select like Bios for PC.
Or maybe the cards should not be from one manufacturer. Maybe Nextor uses card's ID for something...
We have added SCC+ support for the Carnivore2 cartridge. But unfortunately there is a limitation for this feature. In the SCC+ mode the cartridge will not enable any other features (FMPAC, IDE, RAM), so the games will need to be loaded from another device. That is why the SCC+ support will be optional: people who want it will be able to install it. More news later...

Is a .pof file update?
Sure, the firmware needs to be changed. And there will be an .RCP file for the SCC+ configuration mode.
The SCC+ firmware has been verified to be working correctly. You can download the firmware and the configuration preset from here:

Please make sure that you read the "readme_sccplus.txt" file. It has the detailed instructions on how to enable the SCC+ mode.
