I am the happy owner of a Carnivore2 , however I have not been able to use it as pure FM sound cartridge, for example I have tried to use C2 Cart in combination with some game carts (Hydlide 3, R-type, etc) but FM sound is not present …
I have tried to swap un slot 1 and 2 but some result no FM sound..
am I doing something wrong or is it only possible to get FM sound when running games from the Very same C2 Memory and not from other cart in different slot?

Try to create a new configuration entry using C2MAN: select non-expanded slot and only enable FMPAC. Put Carnivore in slot 1 and game in slot 2, then boot to Carnivore's menu, select the FMPAC-only configuration entry and start it with Space key. After reboot Carnivore should function as FMPAC cartridge and the game should be able to use it.
I'm trying to upgrade my Carnivore2 with the 2.50 firmware and for some reason it can't get past seeking something on the CF slot. With no CF inserted, it fails and never attempts to boot the floppy. With a CF card inserted, it finds the CF accurately but never boots from it or boots from the floppy. Same behavior whether I hold F5 or hit esc. Am I just forgetting the right key combination? I am using a korean MSX2, and I have the correct special c2man and bios files, if I ever manage to access them.
Did you format the CF card with the MSX and put the Nextor boot files on it?
Or are you saying everything worked before upgrading the firmware with the same CF card and MSX2?
Hi. How could i flash konami rom with c2man in international mode? My japanese HB-F1 boot japanese version of penguin adventure. I know that sofarun can select region before load it, tested and works ok.
I'm saying that it will not boot to disk basic or Nextor, or from floppy with any key I try. It seeks for a CF card and whether it finds one or not, it halts there. It has worked before, the last time I had to update it was for 2.41 to work on my MSX. I am trying to update from 2.41 to 2.50.
