Agree. Last time I looked for GT the 800 Euro sounded a bit crazy, but 1100 is way too much, taking into account the shipment price, insurance and taxes. Only if the machine is in mint condition and is bought for the collection/museum this price would make sense.
II am not sure whether you can state it's too much as that depends on supply and demand. Especially when it's a mint condition one people might be prepared to pay it. A few years back I bought one in Japan for around EUR 900 in mint condition (looks really as completely new) and with box which looks great too. Also bought a ST in excellent condition and paid around 500 for it. Few years later and prices seem to be higher as before. Look here:
Although buy me now prices there is one with a buy me price of around 900 EUR and one around 1000 EUR. They look in far worse condition as the ST I bought. And that are only ST's without a box, not GT's. There isn't even a GT on sale at the moment.
I know you might have better luck with the price in the auction but still it seems prices for such retro items are on the rise looking at the prices asked a few years back.
Anyway, let's see whether supply will meet demand in this case :)
As someone who's in the market for a boxed FS-A1GT, I keep coming back to look at this. But ultimately I am not interested in this particular unit and I figured I'd share my two cents about it.
I want to get a boxed unit because I want one that was stored in the box when it wasn't used. It may not always be the case, but boxed units are usually in better shape than loose units. However, from the couple of pictures I've seen of this console, it doesn't look like it was stored in great conditions. It looks like it was more or less thrown onto a pile of electronics right next to an ashtray, which is a huge red flag. I don't want to spend this much money on a computer that had smoke blown into it or was treated poorly.
When you're expecting someone to spend this much money on a recreation device, presentation matters. You could have taken the computer out of its current environment and put it somewhere clean to take the photo, and I would have never seen the mess and the ashtray. But, now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it, and I've already decided to wait for another unit.
You're looking for top value, and to get that, I think you should take better photos, provide more thorough information, and be more attentive to questions. I feel like you're ultimately trying to get top dollar while putting in minimal effort.

It appears he tried selling the same system some time ago as well - also with a bit of messy background - so I'm not too sure either about how this system has been treated over the years.
