Hi Stt1,

Thank you very much for your efforts and for the efforts of everybody here. One additional information for next revision of the list:

* Comic Bakery Eur and Comic Bakery Jap are differents roms. In fact, the japanese Comic Bakery machines have names but the european haven't got. It's not related with computer language. You can check this difference using a japanese computer. So definitively the roms are differents

Regards

@raulsantacruz thanks, did not know that about Comic Bakery! Another difference is that the 1st revision has a black Konami spash screen, while the later revision has the blue Konami splash screen instead.

FYI there are also several revisions of Antarctic Adventure. You can find the differences listed here:

raulsantacruz & rderooy: Good remarks

About the name of PDF, yeah, not a good naming (my mishap) - tried to point that it's early revision in history of the Konami marketing material/software releases and also give the year when it was printed. But exactly this combination leads you thinking that it's "early during year 1984".

Fantastic finds! Stt1, do you know in which game this version of the catalog was included? (We've seen quite some of these catalogs, but none had that Health and stuff included...)

I have seen this catalog before as well, but NEVER with those last pages. This is the first time after three years of research for my book that I've seen them. Are we sure they are not fake? ;-)

Manuel: unfortunately not (for sure it came from Japan), I'm not even anymore sure if it was separately sold in YAJ (one seller had couple of separate catalogs which I bought last autumn) or if it was with some game I took it off (the game was duplicate for me and I was going to put the catalog to other correctly aged game box). If it was with a game, it was some between RC 700-720.

wimpie3: haha, would be some international-level Japanese prank then! LOL!

I need to take a look if I have another. I have quite a few of catalogs with this same front cover and honestly, I have never bothered to take a look on all of them as I assumed that they are all same. Just a coincidence that I took this to my hand and browsed through just for fun and refreshing my memory.

Lesson learned: from now on I'll check all the catalogs page by page.

Please check the other catalogs so we can be sure only one version exists.

These are the Konami promotional materials I know about. If you have one that does not say Online available, please make a scan :-)
https://www.generation-msx.nl/publication/result?q=konami&c%...

Regarding the "Konami Computer Software Catalog", I know of 3 editions, two Japanese with 1984-10 and 1985-02 dates and a British one with a 1985-07 date. So no need to go page-by-page, just look at the publication date on the back.

At least I can say that I have almost all those flyers and even more than listed there. Before scanning them, I have to get a better scanner (or actually I have, but it has no drivers for Windows 10). The one at workplace is cheap-o-shit and does some cutting on edges - cost me few extra hours when doing that PDF (when I noticed this I really considered delaying the scanning couple of weeks that I could get to copy shop and pay them for doing the job properly). Also the scanner is way too small for some flyers.

This weekend I have a target to reply to Takamichi's request about checking VDP on Captain.

Sst1: You may want to try Linux, I find that older devices often still work great with it.
