For fun and historical purposes I have reproduced the schematic for the MSX Club Gouda SCSI interface and PCB (approximation only). I noted some oddities in the schematic PDF.

https://github.com/lintweaker/msx-scsi

Notes:
- the 50-pin IDC header on the PCB, normally one with latches and 90 degrees. Kicad did not have a 3D model for it.
- The cartridge connector contacts are a bit too long. Normally around 8mm.

So why did you not put the real kicad files into this github? By the way I have created that SCSI2 connector (half pitch
: https://www.mouser.fi/ProductDetail/571-5787170-5 ) footprint for pcb (but not that 3D model).

So is it really feasible that I redraw kicad schematic from your pdf, and then put those to github if you are not going to do it? Or is this some kind of nda or copyright problem?

Sorry, maybe I am reading it the wrong way but your 'So why...' seem not very nice. Maybe I just did not get around to putting the full Kicad souce in github. A normal question would be a lot nicer.

I am sorry, I did not mean to offend you. It is good that you have redrawn the schematics. Only that those kicad files would we useful to others for example to order pcb.

Np. I did not finish the board, only roughly placed the components using the same layout as on the original.
If you like to reproduce, better wait until I also upload the flash variant (software only supports the AM29F010 currently).

Could you give some more info on component U3 --> ATF16V8B.
Seems like a GAL-chip to me. Is this info available with its content?

I do not have the source or compiled files for the programmable logic chip. It should be doable to reproduce the functionality using tools like WinCupl.

Thanks for the reply, but that will be out of my league.

We can work on it here if there is real interest. What are your plans with it?

I have a couple of Syquest drives that I would like to use. I know that there are other products out there and I have an IDE interface. But call it nostalgia.
