Latest SofaRun, MFC SCC+ SD and Highway Fighter problem

Hi.

Decided to play that game again, but it does not run anymore - the computer just resets :/ Same setup, only thing that has changed is the updated SofaRun. Is this something obvious related to the SofaROM settings?

Other ROMs work just fine. Tested at least 5 different ones.

NMS8235 (MSX2+ mod)
256K RAM
MFC SCC+ SD
SofaRun 7.0

Let’s have a look at that issue ! Could you post a snapshot of the message displayed by SofaROM before the game starts ?

Hi Louthrax Do you mean the screen, where the progress bar of the ROM loading is shown?

Sorry for late answer !

I wanted to investigate the problem, but I do not have the Highway Fighter game. Looks like a demo was available at some time, but the download link is dead.

You can try to change the "ROM type", "No disk driver" and "No subslots" settings, maybe that can fix things.

It may help to load the ROM in openMSX to see what type openMSX reports. If it is different than Konami SCC then set that in SofaRun for the per game settings.

Tested with OpenMSX (thanks sdsnatcher73 for the help!) and the mapper is Konami with SCC. Unfortunately that's what Sofarun originally also detected and it does not work.

This is really weird issue as the game worked before just fine. Is there any way to "debug" this further?
