The "Adattatore telematico" you mentioned, NMS1260, was a product of Philips Italy as the protocol is for the italian bbs at that time. It was also sold separately at the incredible price of 350.000 liras (equivalent to around 180 euros) on the italian market only (does not apply to any other country anyway). The bundle you just bought was intended only for the italian market and the NMS1260 was included, as well as 3 games, 1 cassette recorder and italian manuals.
Videotel were the videotex service from SIP, the former state telecommunication company of Italy. If i remember well, the service lasted until the beginning of Internet (more or less).
