Konami msx 2+ games

I noticed that some later titles of konami are MSX 2/MSX 2+ . But what is 2+ about them?

I can imagine that space manbow will scroll more smoothly on 2+, but games like pennant race 2, sd snatcher, what is 2+ about them?

I think it was just to say "hey man, this will also run on you MSX2+ computer. Now, go fish"
If Konami was still active, it prolly would've said "turbo R" too

There we cases though were the Konami ROMs actually had some additional 64Kb RAM in them, presumably to make it possible to run these games on MSX 2+ machines that only had 64 Kb of ram?

I think Pennant Race uses the extra scrolling capabilities of the MSX2+ if I remember correctly.

And the RAM was needed also for regular MSX2 machines (many of which also only came with 64kB RAM in Japan).

Pennant race 2 doesn't use the extra scrolling capabilities of the MSX2+.
