Is there a cartridge out there for MSX2 that expand the graphics of the MSX2 to MSX2+? If so, I am looking for such cartridge. Thanks in advance.
Technically this is probably possible, but it would become quite an expensive cartridge with its own Videochip, own videoram, new ROM's, etc... And not to forget: it's own video-out.
It's probably easier and cheaper to get your current MSX2 upgraded to MSX2+ internally.
Hmm. I suppose getting an MSX2+ is best solution. But not now. It is not an emergency. Until it comes to a point where are the titles I want badly so badly that only works on msx2+ and until that happens I will stick with my MSX2.
As says tfh, it's probably easier, cheaper and more efficient to get your current MSX2 upgraded to MSX2+ internally. You don't lose a slot, and you don't have any cables that get in the way.
In principle any MSX2 can be upgraded to MSX2+. No MSX2 was designed to be upgraded but the process to do it is relatively straightforward and the same for any MSX2.
