MSX Hardware & Accessories
Sony Bitcorder SDC-500 - $25 - Audio cable works, but the casing on one of the phono plugs is loose. Is easy to replace, I'm just too lazy to do it. Also rewind button is stuck but cassette deck has no problems running MSX tapes. You'll just have to rewind the the tape manually. I have several MSX cassette games for sale if you like to test this out. Batteries not included, yes this requires 4x AAs. You can also power it with a 6V DC IN adaptor if you have one.
Philips Floppy Disk Interface $25 - A FDD interface. Allows you to connect a 360k floppy drive to your MSX. This model can be upgraded to support 720k floppy drive.
Elecom Mouse - $15 - If you play point and click games on the MSX this good to have. I've used this mainly for playing Psy-O-Blade which is also for sale (see below).
NeoGeo to MSX joystick adaptor - $15 - I put this one together a few years ago. With this you can connect Neo Geo joysticks to your MSX computer.
Ademir Carchano Mini-Slot Expander - $110 - These are becoming very rare to find since the Ademir no longer produces them. This piece of hardware will let you connect up to 4 cartridges into a single slot. This requires an external +5v power supply. I powered mine with a small 110w arcade power supply which is why I have fork terminals at the ends of the yellow wires.
Padial 4MB external Ram - $85 (inside a Goonies cartridge) - This cartridge will boost your MSXs internal Ram to 4MB. If you want to play english translations of Snatcher on a japanese MSX2 then you'll want one of these.
FM-Pac - $50 - Very essential to any MSX gamer and music composer. Also has built-in SRAM for saving game data. Most of Falcom, Microcabin, and T&E SOFT games and couple other support SRAM.
