Very nice! Personally I think a version with just micro SD and SofaRun would also be great (I imagine it would cut cost a bit, making it more appealing to a lot of people).

It supports both cartridge types. Microsd softrun is also supported.
3rd video is the microsd loader screen.

Mygodess, if you manage to have Nextor running on the MSX Boy and launch SofaRun at start, you could make use of the Select and Start button for (at least) most Konami and Compile games. SofaRun has a system to patch games for that.

Disk games and tape images could also be launched (SofaRun has the possibility to swap disks using only the A and B buttons).

I'm also wondering if the MSX Boy supports MSX 2?

MSX Boy is one chip msx compatible. Cause msx2+ based system.
Softrun is good but I am using the select button as the reset key and start as battery check function.
