The Professional Adventure Writer system (PAW) has been ported to MSX. Graeme Yeandle, former member of GILSOFT, granted his permission to create a MSX conversion and distribute it freely. PAW is a well known authoring system that was so popular for adventure creation in the United Kingdom and Spain. It was a huge success in the Sinclair ZX Spectrum back then and finally it is available for MSX.
A preliminary full operative version has been published, including the PAW compiler, the interpreter and 6 adventures, including source code. With this little set it is possible to create adventures easily and play them. The ZIPped disk image (DSK) is available here.
This version is compatible with any MSX configuration with MSX-DOS and disk drive. A stand alone version will be published in the future. The MSX adaptation has been conducted by Eduardo Robsy Petrus for Karoshi Corporation. You are invited to provide the developer some feedback at Karoshi's forum.
