About a month after the release of MSX Advance 0.1, the first (and currently only) MSX1 emulator for Gameboy Advance, an update has been released. New in this version:

  • A virtual keyboard
  • Better keymapping
  • SCC emulation
  • 32kB RAM instead of 16kB
  • Fixed Multiboot transfer
  • Fixed blending when used as plugin
  • Better update timing in PAL mode
  • Better game mapper detection

MSX Advance can be downloaded from FluBBa's GBA website.

I hope MSX2 support will some day be an option. It would probably be a tight fix memory-wise, but the idea of playing SD-Snatcher on my GBA sounds quite appealing! Smile For now it already looks very impressive tho! Smile

Well I've played with pretty decent emulators of Nec PC Engine, Sega SMS and Nes on the GBA so I don't see why some MSX2 emulation would not be technically possible. But it already looks very nice as it is.

What would be very cool also is using the two screens of the Nintendo DS, one to display a virtual keyboard, the other for the regular screen. Would make it my dream portable MSX Smile
