In September 2009 Retroaction issue 3 was released. Like the first two issues, it looked polished and actually contained MSX articles and shorts, a rarity these days. It's been eight months since, and while the fourth issue is here now, the huge delay didn't bode well during the waiting period. The magazine will stop, unfortunately, as time is not on the side of the chief editor. This fourth issue is the final one in the series, but luckily no compromises have been made in terms of quality: this new issue looks as polished as the previous ones.
MSX was mentioned in this issue as well, though with less attention compared to the previous issues. The results of MSXdev'09 are mentioned on page 4, with Dr.Pill overlooking the article. Sadly, no pill could continue the magazine.. The physical release and download version of Relevo videogames' Invasion of the Zombie Monsters gets mentioned. And lastly, the Knight Lore remake gets mentioned, although it concerns the updated PC version. The MSX2 version was reviewed in the third issue of Retroaction Magazine.
All good things come to an end.. It's been great to see MSX getting attention in these four high quality issues. While the Retroaction Magazine has come to an end, the Retroaction website continues its course, and MSX news may appear there. While a magazine certainly looks more impressive, the web can be fun as well! (right?)
