Xanadu map

Fukenko has created a complete map of Xanadu, the RPG also known as Dragon Slayer II that was originally released by Falcom in 1987. The map is composed out of screen shots that were taken from the game itself and makes it a lot easier to navigate around the game.

This is..... Awesome! I'm a HUGE Xanadu fan and it's nice to see just how the maps are so much different than the other versions of Xanadu. Whoooa! :O

Level 8 is the world map of earth! I've never seen that before, even in my Xanadu guidebooks! And I've got them all too!

Yeah, i watched that last year. I had a great time. When I got home from work first thing I did was checking for new episodes. Loved it. It was one of those games that I played very often when I was still a kid. But I never got past level 5... such an unforgiving game with the KRM and big towers and some very strong enemies.

Too bad I can't open the zip file, get the following eror:

! C:\Documents and Settings\Kenny\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\81FVATX5\xanadu_map[1].zip: Archief heeft onbekend formaat of is beschadigd

can the link be fixed?

Just downloaded and unzipped the file succesfully, so I think you didn't receive the full file. Please try downloading it again, the link and zip file are fine

Tried it again, doesn't work. I'm using winrar, maybe that's the culprit.

I used successfully Winrar to unzip this file. I think that for some reason, your download is incomplete, and indeed a corrupted file can't be opened by any unzipper tool.

Btw, why open the file in Temporary Internet Files ????
It should be better to use the C:\Users\(name)\Downloads directory.
At least with Firefox, it works like that.

I had the same problem with Internet Explorer and I get to download de .zip with Google Chrome.

Can say that again. Even wget (unix commandline toolie) downloaded the file correctly, and commandline unzip worked fine as well. You can't get more lowlevel than that for testing... Let's blame the Microsoft boys for this one

Those are brilliant maps. I noticed them some time ago. I managed to finish Dragonslager II in 1989 without the help that exists nowadays. I still cherish the original rom that I have in the beatiful package. The cover picture picture is one of the best I have ever seen. I do wonder if anyone ever managed to buy someting from the Falcom catalogue that came with Falcom games those days?

By the way, Thomas: do you still have pics on the tabletops? They seem off the server you mentioned.
