Give the One Chip MSX a new name challenge

As you all probably know by now ASCII intend to commercially produce a new MSX computer, the One Chip MSX. Earlier today, Bazix started taking pre-orders on the one chip MSX over here, making it available to the non-Japanese market as well.

As with MSXPLAYer, ASCII would like the MSX Community to think of a new name for this new product. Hence, a new MRC Challenge is born: the 'Give the One Chip MSX a new name'-challenge.

In this forum thread on our MSX Forum you can post your suggestions on what you think would be a good name for the One Chip MSX. Please have a good look at the first post of the forum thread, which explains how suggestions should be submitted. You can send your suggestions in until August 20th, 2005, 23:59 CET. After that, a jury will take a good look at the suggestions offered by the MSX community on MRC and Japanese community platforms and select a winning name. The members of this jury are still to be announced, as is the prize for the person who sends in the winning name.

As the forum thread isn't hardly surveyable, why not making a list like the contacts list with items

  • name of the poster
  • proposed name
  • expanation of the proposed name

which can be sorted by all three items? Only the names in this list should be considered as valid!
