retroCRAP Competition 2009

Have you ever dreamed of entering an MSX competition, but always felt that your programming skills weren't good enough to make a chance in a a serious contest? Did your friends turn their face away after they saw your latest masterpiece? Are you a skilled programmer, but tired of making yet another masterpiece? For once in your life, would you like to develop a game that suits the trash bin?

If you have answered yes to one of those questions, then you are encouraged to join the retroCRAP Competition! Just imagine yourself developing the most annoying, ugly and horrible game ever conceived, a truly crapgame, and yet win the fabulous prizes which the organizers are still collecting: one pair of sandals (A pair of Havaianas to be exact, you cannot choose the size), one shiny gondola made of plastic: a genuine Italian souvenir crafted by some expert artisans in China.

There are two submissions already:

"Columbia Space Run" by Daniel Vik
"John Clark - Escape from the red communist soviet USSR" by Lionel Ritchie

These fearless persons have decided to face public humiliation just to submit their games!

If you feel you have something bad to submit, do join this unique competition. Everything that has some quality is better suited for one of the normal challenges.

There seems do be a misunderstanding on the prizes:
yet win the fabulous prizes which the organizers are still collecting: one pair of sandals (you cannot choose the size), one shiny gondola made of plastic, and a genuine Italian souvenir crafted by some expert artisans in China.
* Not just a pair of sandals: A pair of Havaianas
* Gondola and the Italian souvenir are the same prize: The Plastic Gondola made in China
* And there's one more: A brand new fragrance called TAXI (made in Brazil), from the 80's kept untouched for more than 20 years on lionelritchie's drawer...

I've a serious and interesting proposal....
you should join msxdev09 and retrocrap : all the msxdev entries have to be automatically registered at retrocrap too
If msxdev team agrees, there should be no problem as the deadline match !
in this way we can give prizes to the best and to the worst game of the year at the same time

ARTRAG does have a point there, but I'm only saying that 'cause I'm biased to give my first-ever-to-be-released MSX1-Screen 1-project some chance to win any prize - even if it will be "Worst Game of 2010"!
