Ever wanted to use Google Maps in true 8 bit Dragon Quest style? Now here's your chance. Google has decided to release Google Maps for NES. Soon  you can order the cartridge through Google Store, but for now a preview version is available on Google Maps itself. Google even made an introduction video with all the details right here.

And yes, of course it's an April fools joke, but nonetheless, Google worked it out really well and therefore it's an awesome homage to our beloved 8bit world.

Its a quite impressive Aprils fools joke. Look at this reddit post to get a sense of the project. They certainly planned this quite well.

They even did an 8-bit-ish streetview. Google certainly put quite some effort into this one! Smile
