Master Burner - Afterburner remake

The Japanese Touhages group have released a remake of the classic game Afterburner, which was released on MSX in 1988 by Activision. The remake is called Master Burner. The game can be downloaded from the Master Burner website. A special bonus awaits those who manage to score more than 5 million points.

It is a shame it is not for MSX. Because the MSX version of After Burner lags very behind the Master System one... I am sure it could be improved

Nah, I myself don't like After Burner a lot. It was just an observation. But I would like to see some day a good Shinobi on MSX. Maybe on some very distant day...

I like the arcade version of After Burner; the Sega Ages remake on PS2 is also good...
I'd love to be able to play Sky Target (After Burner sequel); it had a PC release but I can't find it (well, I know there's a half-broken version on the net, but that's not legal anyway... and broken).
There's a new After Burner coming out as well, btw...
as for this remake...girl on a broom AGAIN?! (if you know the Japanese freeware scene a little, you'll know what I mean)
