I wonder... does all of this mean that we cannot use the emulator itself (as we could use fMSX) and it must be bundled with a game?

Yup, that is indeed the situation as it is. MSXPLAYer for Symbian Series 60 will only run games acquired at WOOMB.net, which will use a special file format of course.

Looks good. But I don’t like the Nokia 60s series phones, they’re too bulky Smile. I’ll wait buying a new phone until there’s a slim UMTS one available ^_^. Although that Motorola V3 looks pretty good (but that’s not a Nokia Smile).

If I'm not mistaken, you could also run S60 apps on Symbian UIQ devices (like the Sony Ericsson P900 or the P910i. They're so great! But indeed, to your standards Grauw, they're bulky Wink

Too bad I sold my Nokia Series 60 phone last month and bough a Windows Mobile based phone. I thought MSX Player would be released for it too... I'll have to wait and see if its released... Smile

D-Tail, UIQ is based on Symbian OS like Series 60 but alas it is not compatible with Series 60. Meaning you cannot run Series 60 applications on UIQ and vice versa.

You should be surprised ... I don't need any translator to understand Dutch, only sometimes my 'woordenboek' for some words

But back on topic : I'm very glad to see that there are alternative opinions in the Netherlands and I'm happy to understand Dutch (don't forget that I was subscriber to the last MCCM number with the special double CD)
