Four previously unreleased Psycho World covers!

Deep in the dark moisty dungeons below Wolf's studio, the evil skeleton who keeps track of all the backup CD's and does all the financial administration, notified Wolf about four unreleased covers. Since these covers were done in 2001 already, they have a slightly dated sound. Nonetheless, it's stylish and certainly matches the original atmosphere of the game.

You can download the covers in MP3 format right here:

I'm sure that will happen, as soon as they figure out what "patrionizing" means.

You did a good job Wolf, although in my humble opinion, it misses some "bite" and the songs seem to be a bit slower.
Anyway, good work! Smile

about the CD:
that's a concept I have for years already.. It depends on some other things aswell, most notably the developement of IT3 ..

about the speed:
50/60hz discussion ... endless discussion.. Smile

wrong wrong wrong Smile

ignore the speed issue

(I was referring to Metal Gear.. dunno why)

The speed issue: this is an old cover.. made in a period when I didn't have NLmsx yet. So I used another emulator, and that one couldn't 100% cope with Soundforge recording in the back. So the version I recorded was played slower than intended. Ofcourse I was lazy enough not to check whether this speed was ok, so I covered a slower version Smile

Well, it's going steady, but I need to get on with the designs some day.. things like code and game-covers keep me from working Smile

Better spend several years on a solid engine, than code a one-shot fast application that needs a major rewrite for each new version Smile

www.orcave.com .. not much info .. pretty much like nothing atm. 'enigma' needs to be finished as well, which is the first version of that engine I mentioned above (which won't be used in IT3, since IT3 will use a multi-CPU & multi-OS engine).

Euhm the 50Hz/60Hz discussion is not a discussion at all. Japanese games are intended to be played on 60Hz, European games are intended to be played on 50Hz. If you think the Japanese game songs go too fast when you play them on 60Hz, that's just because you're used to hear them on 50Hz. Tongue

could be..

but..
(1) I make all these covers for the non-JP public.. for the simple reason that there are more non-JP people reading this site than JP-people. And all these non-JP people played the game at 50hz I guess..

(2) imho many konamigames that don't set the hz-freq automaticallly sound as if they were played too fast compared to the average bmp, and compared to the more recent konamigames that actually set the hz-freq to 60hz.

but pleeeeease... don't start this discussion Smile
