"Trader"? I went to the same shop some days ago, and indeed there were a lot of MSX software. Unluckily my monetary resources were very low so I couldn't buy too much... (TOT) By the way, the poster in the second photo says that they are currently increasing their stock of MSX games.

Yes, she did say yes! I don't know what I would have done if she said no! :-)
But I expected her to say yes.

Konamiman, as I mentioned in my report you can find the store in Den-Den Town in Osaka. Go to Ebisucho Station and you're on Nippombashi Avenue (Electrical Appliances Street) After approx. 500 meters you'll find the store on your left. I think it was sofmap (Allthough my girlfriend said so) but I'm not sure. What I do know is that above the entrance it says something like "Retro-TV Games" Let me know if you find it! Good Luck.

Yeah, I know Den-Den Town, I go there often. What I wanted to know is the name of the shop. You say Sofmap, but there are a lot of Sofmap shops, each one with a distinctive number... I'll try to guide by the "Retro-TV Games" name.

I think what you are looking for is the shop called 'Monkichi'. The name is written in hiragana only, however.

It could be the name, but as I said I don't know for sure. On the ground floor (always 1st floor in Japan?) they sell some Nintendo and Playstion stuff, all quite new. On the second floor they sell Msx stuff and Game Music CD's.

I found the shop. There is indeed a lot of junk MSX1 and MSX2 computers, and quite a few games, with and without box. I bought a junk Dragon Slayer 6, I don't know if it works but it seems to be complete.

Yes, I bought DS6 for 500 yen. And about my stay in Japan: as usual I'm eating a lot (everything is delicious in Japan, not only the japanse food but also things like hamburgers, pizza and bakery), I'm being surprised by the gadgets one can find in the shops (what about a microwave oven that can decide by itself the time and power needed to cook the dish it has inside... and to cook by this way three dishes at the same time?), and I'm abusing of the broadband internet connection of my father-in-law :-)
