Command2 version 2.41 on MSX info pages

Command 2.41, the invaluable upgrade for MSX-DOS 2 giving you such powerfull command line facilities! An original Command2.com (either version 2.20 or 2.31) is required to upgrade to version 2.41.

Some functions that have been added or changed to this new version:

use of ALIAS, which enables you to abbreviate or rename commands
resizeable history list
extensive batch file support including comprehensive batch file programming
very flexible command prompt. It's not just either the default drive or default path anymore. It's possible to include things like free space, volume name and other useful information
many built-in commands like CPU changing and memory overview
and much, much more...

The author Fokke Post has made this utility freeware and also made the sources available! Also the articles that Fokke wrote for MCCM about Command 2.41 will become available, please come back later!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat news! Thanks go out to all the people who put in their efforts to get this one freewared. Everyone who has IDE or SCSI on his MSX should use this version of DOS2.

The patch is already there, and I'm looking on my HD right now ^_^ I was waiting for the time it could be released. Have a bit of patience please

The version that I use from 2003 is:

- MSX-DOS Kernel v2.31
- MSX-DOS2.SYS v2.32 by Hardware Partners Nederland
- COMMAND2.COM v2.42 by Hardware Partners Nederland

This is the best version for me but I don't have help manual.

Special notes:

- There is a black background as default: I think that a special command or key is required to change it.
- If you change autoexec.bat, the system ask a confirmation to parse it at next reboot. This is a good job to prevent errors ...a great brain!
- In command.com v2.41 there is a bug using TAB key over an empty folder and msx goes into infinite loop. This bug was solved finally.
- Checking the command.com v2.42 I read many other texts inside of it... Unfortunately I don't know its new features!
- I have two version: "FAT12" the original and "FAT16" patched by me for IDE Sunrise but sincerely I don't remember if it was necessary for v2.42
