Karoshi is currently working on a new PSG Tracker. As a first step, a beta-version of Karoshi's PSG Sampler was released. This MSX ROM lets you edit PSG sounds and makes it easy to configure volume and frequency with its graphical interface.

Please note that this is a beta version and some parts are not implemented yet, but the editor is very user-friendly and makes it possible to create very elaborated sounds., which can be used in the upcoming PSG Tracker.

Does this mean we are finally getting a -decent- PSG tracker? I'm looking forward to it! (and will try this PSG Sampler soon)

I will try to do a "decent" PSG Tracker. I am looking at the most modern PSG trackers for PC. The thing is that I need to use a compact format because it will be used to develope games. And a "easy-to-use" interface is also important.

Kind regards,

Ed Robsy

A PSG tracker (3chn+noise) would be nice.. but really make an importer for mbm/mbfm/mwm tunes. That would be the greatest aspect!

AnmA created a PSG tracker, but I've never used it. I believe it was published once (mccm cd?). Martijn was able to do something decent with the tracker.

Is the anma tracker pd? Can it be added to the download database?

I believe ANMA themselves always took pride in the fact that their tracker was so awkward to use that they were the only ones able to use it... ;p

We could check if it's PD, and perhaps add it to the downloads db as it is, but....

to get Anma's MusicRED working you actually need a Philips Muziekmodule keyboard and a bid of homemade Anma hardware. The tracker was intended to 'record realtime', but only supports this equipment. An ordinary Muziekmodule won't do, you need the homemade Anma hardware Wink.
