Kuru Kuru Kururin engine - demo

Maggoo has just released a small demo which demonstrates what an MSX port of the popular Gameboy Advance game Kuru Kuru Kururin could look like. The demo is based on the Vscreen Engine. At the moment only the stick animation has been implemented. You can download the demo at Maggoo's website.

If there is interest for such game and if people are willing to help, this could turn into a real game though. To achieve this a GFX artist and musician are absolutely necessary. If you can create music or draw GFX for MSX and like the Kuru Kuru Kururin game concept, you could consider contacting Maggoo about it.

Hmm... I think when MSX is concerned, the term 'vaporware' should never be used. It's a world of hobbyists and although things can take really really long... shouting "vaporware!" whenever something is taking long isn't really of help in motivating the developers to hurry up. There are better ways to show something is highly anticipated, and to support its development Wink

Still, a VSCREEN based game would be a damn good way to win one of those new challenges...!

Hi, I have this demo from this page: http://abyssmsx.com/vscreen-doc.htm

How do I run it? I have never used an MSX before.

Thanks!

On your Mac, try openMSX (optionally with NekoLauncher openMSX). See www.openmsx.org
