The final versions of La Corona Encantada have finally been released online! The physical versions of this game, featured at the recent RetroMadrid, still manage to find their way to the news, and more secrets about this game are to be revealed in the future.

For the first time, both final versions are ready for download. The first version is the completely remade MSX version featuring two languages (Spanish and English) and two graphic modes: the early Spectrum-like graphics (legacy mode) and a fresh new MSX mode that features real SCREEN2 tile graphics and hardware sprites. These new specifications give the game (a 48KB ROM) a real MSX flavor! The second version is the original Spectrum version, this one comes in form of a TZX tape image, featuring an exclusive loading screen and language selection.

As this game creation has been the milestone for the creation of RELEVO Videogames, the game has been released both at Karoshi Corporation, as the last Karoshi game with Jon Cortázar aboard, and at the new RELEVO Videogames website, being the first game to download in the new site. Feel free to go to any of those development team sites and download La Corona Encantada!

This game shows the way spanish (and others too) msx games should have looked in the 1980s. Or if programmers just had used sprites against mostly monochrome spectrum ported backgrounds, results could have been very nice. Sad

But anyway, thanks Jon for very good looking and really colourful and playable game!! Smile Musics are good too, especially game over tune!!!! Smile

Game is accurate copy of spanish 80s msx games (if they could have used COLOUR!), there are only two things which tells you that this is not your 80s favourite spanish msx game, are copyright year 2009 and software house name Karoshi. Wink (not very spanish nameTongue)

Is there any way to see that intro screen of the site(old spanish type)?

only_69: it is the loading screen for the spectrum version. But yes, you can see it at the MSX version too: but to get the cheat, you must first beat the game, then beat it again at hard mode, and at the end of the real second ending you'll obtain a hint to make it appear. Tongue

I'd like to hear an arranged version of the music sometime.
That would be kick-ass. If it takes too long, I might do it. Wink

Sorry, have to say again, that I like much that game over tune! Wink It is different tune, but it reminds me about Wizard´s Lair´s musics, they are really good! Please listen to them!! Maybe Viejo can get some inspiration for new same kind musics? Wink Just tried it in the hard mode, it seemed too fast at the first, but I feel it is possible to finish game with hard mode too. Viejo probably has finished. Or did you just put hard mode there but cannot survive long in hard mode by yourself? Tongue
