Looks like 10817 is the number production, if so, then the guess less than 99999 Turbo R were manufactured back in 1990~1992 is correct.
This is understandable, they had X68000, PC98, FM-Towns, PC Engine!, NES, SNES!, etc, at that time.
Besides, the MSX were always sold as "console game", or "video game", rather than a Personal Computer, or just a Computer.
turboR was marketed as an office computer and probably only served a niche market.
