MRC2k11 - The Eve of Construction

So.. this is it! This is the weekend in which we kiss the old website goodbye. We've waited long enough for MRC2k11, and so have you. The crew will be at Jorito's place this weekend to finally celebrate the launch of MRC2k11. The migration of MRC2k2 content towards the new website and new server will come at a price though, and you'll notice that this weekend: we will lock this website. This means that you can still browse and read all the news, you can still browse and read all the forum threads, you can still download from our downloads section, but you can not react to any of these sections. This measure enables us to migrate the complete database to the new website, without missing out on user generated content. You'll have to enjoy yourself this weekend, we know at least we do!  

You've read it in the previous paragraph already: the new website runs on a new server. And rightly so: with such a new feature-rich website (the modern look, a cool new search engine, and the wiki, to name something) the MRC Foundation has felt a new and fast server would be like a cool early Christmas gift! You will notice that MRC2k11 will run as pleasantly as the old one, if not better! This new server also means that there's no damage done when lots of people keep refreshing the old website, the migration to the new server will be done in complete solitude.

The new website will be launched some moment during Sunday evening. If you're somehow emotionally attached to the looks of the current website, now is the moment to take screenshots. Perhaps they'll eventually be worth millions on eBay! So, enjoy this last oldskool Friday, from Saturday on it's locked. We'll be back on Sunday with the new website, if in the mean time you wish to get in contact with us, you can still e-mail us, or find some of us on social media and IRC.
