The opening theme from the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross game is also present in the anime. It's called "Ai o Oboete Imasu ka?" (Do you remember love?), albeit a poor rendition.
No one else (besides me and JohnHassink) commented on the Feena <-> Pop Avenue thing. Any other opinions?
I don't want to leave the wording in the Wiki as it is if I'm the only one who think there is a resemblance ;-).
Let me try for Brisk:
A. ?
B. ?
C. Jarre: Oxygene IV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_I2ch8_TXc
D. ?
E. Future World Orchestra: Roulette https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7j9zgNif74
F. Hot Butter: Popcorn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=purFV1IOWsA
G. F. Cuitad & Y. Hayat - The Force https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKGdYrShWws
H. H. Faltermeyer: Theme From Fletch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzmidE4wFsc (one of my favs, discovered via this game)
I. ? (a classic, but I don't know the name)
J. ?
B: Hymn to Aurora by Horace Wimp, an Amiga song from 1990 :)
All I can say is that the little short music from Shouganai is from here: Aqua Vitae by Future World Music
This is the same tune but with a more epic video :) Contains spoilers from Galactica series (tho if you didn't watch it already you deserved something worse that just a spoiler). This video stills makes me goosebumps
Regarding Feena <> Pop Avenue: I hear the resemblance, but hard to tell if Koshiro was (directly) inspired by it. I'm kinda in the middle here I do think it warrants an entry/mention on that page, the resemblance is interesting enough IMO.
Note: if e.g. Brisk or Leprechaun gets added, I would make a separate page for it, like we did for Lazy Jones (note: the dead #no links will be fixed soon.. ;))
@Manuel: you list A-J for Brisk & 0-9 for Leprechaun. Any available soundtrack you're referring to? Or are those game/stage ordered? Or an in-game music mode perhaps?
Play the games. You can select the background music in the menu you get when you press ESC and you select them by number or letter (depending on the game). So I referred to them by this number/letter.
I've modified the Feena <-> Pop Avenue mention in the Wiki, in an effort to be more objective, and leave the conclusions to the reader / listener
Though I saw the game listed on the wiki page, I didn't see this particular entry in there yet. And I'm pretty sure that the level music in Shark Hunter is the Cuckoo Song, as composed by Michael Praetorius but the most likely inspiration being the version popularized by Mike Oldfield.
Hi Haze,
I agree! I believe in some previous thread the in-game music was determined as sounding "familiar" by some users, but no-one remembered where they've heard it. I've added it to the wiki.
