Cultural ignorance indeed! Where 99 Luftballons and Fade to Grey are obvious to me, I had never, ever, heard of "It happened then".

I don't think that Zombie Nation entry belongs on the list for 2 reasons:
1)Inspiration is probably related to C64, rather than MSX version.
2)It's "music inspired by C64 (MSX) games", rather than vice versa. Whether or not there's a separate topic for that, this case shouldn't belong here.

Besides, does the MSX version even have the tune ripped off by Zombie Nation? Watched a <9min video on youtube, which didn't have the ripped off bit, on subgames where C64 version has it. Need to check the game itself later.

On the other hand, as mentioned earlier, there are several influences from older tunes, that could be listed instead of Zombie Nation ripoff.

It has the tune Smile As fan or Mr. Zombie (Flo) once I played the game just to listen to it.

Yes, apparently the MSX version has shuffled the tunes a bit Smile

Anyway, I'm not sure, but I don't think David Whittaker did any music for MSX. This, of course, would mean that someone else must have converted it later.

Why would this be more significant in this case? It makes the C64 version the "original" AND the likely source, where Kernkraft 400 was ripped from. Every article I have seen mentions C64, not MSX. Or perhaps Zombie Nation just didn't want to say they based it on MSX instead, so they wouldn't have to pay for the guy behind the conversion aswell? LOL! (as is the case with the more recent Acidjazzed Evening ripoff - original creator was paid off I guess, but the guy behind the C64 conversion that was ripped wanted to fight).

But in any case, for the reasons I already mentioned, I propose either:
-Removing Lazy Jones, as this Kerkraft 400 case doesn't belong on this list as it's "wrong way around".
OR
-Modify it to mention 99 Red Balloons, Fade to Gray etc. instead (as some subtunes are clearly inspired by them).

Wasn't the music from "Break-In" an existing tune? See http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xd0i3h_break-in-jaleco-1987...

Here are two more:

Averno -> Fantaisie Impromptu Op.66 Chopin
Who Dares Wins II -> The Great Scape Escape (film) Theme

By the way, in www.uvlist.net the games are described with tags, and some of those tags are related to music.

In The Castle (And The Castle Excellent), the music when you free the fairy is "The Syncopated Clock" by Leroy Anderson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IboyHfL2jno
