In this, Manual's option sounds more trustworthy. Never have I ever seen MRC actually do any financial contributions to anyone.
We paid about 10.000 euro for hosting costs to keep msx.org running. MRC is not trustworthy regarding financial spending for this community? Are you serious about this statement?
Apart from this, it's easier for international users to pay with PayPal. Besides, if MRC wants to donate half, we need to get the other half from our users first. But Hydragon: you are of course free to transfer the money to Loek directly. Just let me know
I'd like to add the fact that MRC organized the Thirty Years MSX Event, which was awesome, without asking for any fee, which is awesome. (Talking about nice gestures..)
I certainly had the intent to donate afterwards, though I didn't follow through on that for some reason. ATM have to mind small expenses, so I guess I still owe you..
Good news: 11 MSX-Engine Magazines are scanned and will soon be available as PDF!
Were there perhaps any others??
Just added the magazines to the downloads DB and created a newspost about it. Thanks all, great job!
Cool! I don't speak Dutch, but skimming through number 1 I already learned something new. I didn't know Might and Magic II was available for the MSX! That was probably the game I spent most time on on the Amiga!

The MSX version is quite playable (only dialogs are in Japanese). I've made a turboR fixed version, and also a hidden "Might & Magic II" site with interactive maps here, that can help if you plan to play it on MSX.
Woah, I take it you are a big fan too
Great website! and I'll definitively give the turboR fixed version a try!
A friend of mine played MSX M&M to death. Thanks Louthrax I have now a birthday present for Achim. I will print the map in poster size for him.
My favorite configuration to play Might & Magic II on MSX:
- Play it on turboR, that really makes a difference.
- Of course, a comfortable Sofa.
- Use a wireless PC mouse with an adapter to your MSX.
- Use SofaRunIt to allow disk changes using the mouse (else you'll have to bend to your MSX everytime you enter or exit towns). The game can be entirely played with only a mouse this way.
- Have an internet-connected tablet to check the dialogs and maps.
- Optionnaly a fresh beer (the tablet can also be used as a coaster for the beer or mouse).
Hmm, when I click "MSX Map" I get a 404...

WTF, the only map that does not show on my site is the MSX one?!? No way !
(I created that site something like 10 years ago, never really made it public, but I think I still have the sources of it somewhere). I also just realized I did not put online the scans of the MSX game box and disk that I acquired since... that really needs to be fixed.
