Rise Out from dungeons - history?

I wonder how that game was developed. Was it inspired by early versions of Lode Runner (which was released at same time), or was it original idea, or these games just have similar Donkey Kong roots?

Is there any information? Maybe forum discussions, sites, etc.. There is many infomation about Lode Runner, but I can't find anything about Rise Out.
