MSX-ALL submitted some background information on the MSX-ALL team and the Iron Star development aswell. The newsarticle belonging to this forumtopic can be found here.
A little about the MSX-ALL Project:
Our idea to build a MSX Web Site begins at 2000, and it was not only to share games and software, instead we want to organize and estimulate MSX users to keep developing (hardware and software) for MSX; it suppose to be a tool to help other users to organize themselves and where they could find almost anything they need for their projects.
Although, since 2001 the Web Site project has been delayed for several reasons. Anyway, we have never stopped working, collecting and organizing everything we could about MSX. At 2003 the MSX-ALL Project gains its own Web-Server and a Dedicated Internet Connection. Therefore we decided to open the MSX-ALL Server, starting offering space on it for some friends and partners who also dedicate their time for the MSX. Some of those have their sites running with us for a while already, such as MSXPRO from Luciano Sturaro (www.msxpro.com), KLAX-MSX from our team member Eliazer Kosciuk (www.klaxmsx.ideaplus.com.br) and the most recent addendum the MSX.BAS from Renato Lopes (www.basic.msxall.com); among others.
This year we finally found a solution for the MSX-ALL Web Site. Because our project is bold (and we just don't want to cut out parts of it), we habe been forced to find a way to finance the project! How? Developing projetcs for other clientes (similar Web Sites) from where we can reutilize most of the internal elements to build the MSX-ALL Web Site Project (of course we did try XOOPS, Mambo, PHP Nuke and others, but we didn't like any one of that).
Now that our projet is "moving" again, we will be releasing some of those "surprises" time by time. The Iron Star is the first one, not the last. Just keep an eye on us from now on... ;)
