Microchip AY-3-8910A chip

The AY-3-8910A is a 3-voice programmable sound generator (PSG) designed by General Instrument in 1978. Microchip Technology is an old division of General Instrument that became autonomous. AY-3-8910 is the original chip that has been used to define a part of the MSX specification. The letter A added to the indentifier indicates that this is a version with a better compatibility with external chips. Power consumption is 450mW max.
